LEXMOTO APOLLO 125 SCOOTER REVIEW AND PRICE
If you use two wheels for daily commutes, then it makes sense to get a maxi scooter. The Lexmoto Apollo 125 comes with a long wheelbase contributing to comfort.
While many larger chassis scooters have bigger engines, the Apollo 125 has a CBT friendly engine despite being similar in physical size to some of the 300cc and upwards scooters.
It is important to mention that the Lexmoto Apollo 125 is not the only maxi scooter from the brand. There is a scooter model that predates the Apollo 125, named The Chieftain. However, the Lexmoto Apollo 125 offers better class and is less garish than the Chieftain. They also have the Aura which comes in a CBT friendly model and the 300cc version.
In this article, we will review the Apollo 125, touching on its features, price, and functionalities.
Lexmoto Apollo 125 Price
First things first, the Lexmoto Apollo 125 costs just £2629.99 plus OTR. Making it one of the most affordable (and comfy) 125cc scooters on the market.
When compared to its competitors, the price of the Lexmoto Apollo 125 is impressive. One of its competitors, the Yamaha N-Max, costs £3500 upwards. In fact, none of its branded competitors cost anything less than £3000.
Engine & Power
Despite the big body and 125cc engine, you’ll get a clean and fast raise to the 40-45mph as indicated by the speedometer on the bike’s dashboard.
This clean raise makes the maxi scooter ideal for an urban commute. It is also perfect for rides outside the city even if you may feel things slow down a bit. This bike will provide a clean raise to 60-65mph, and with the right wind direction, you may get to 70mph on your speedo.
The engine provides a modest 8.7bph at 7260rpm. It is fuel-injected, air-cooled, and meets the Euro 5 standard for bike engines. Also, despite using two valves instead of four, it does its job well with little or no fuss.
The engine transmission is very efficient as it is carried out using automatic expanding pulleys.
Lexmoto Apollo 125 Economy
This is one of the best selling points of the Lexmoto Apollo 125. For most 125cc engines, you get miles per gallon. The Lexmoto Apollo 125 has a 13 litres capacity fuel tank. With this and it’s 80+ mpg range, you can go 250 miles before needing to fill up again. To put things in perspective, that is about two weeks of constant commuting for most people.

Handling and Chassis
The Lexmoto Apollo surpasses all expectations when it comes to the handling of this bike. This is because, normally, for any scooter with such a low price tag, you may not be able to get top-rated shocks and forks. However, the Lexmoto Apollo 125 uses some basic features to its advantage and this helps with the handling.
First off, the scooter weighs about 146kg which is a bit heavier than most small-bodied bikes. Also, the longer wheelbase and bigger wheels used by the scooter help with the handling and suspension. The wheels, which measure 14 inches front and 13 inches rear, make it easy for the scooter to remain stable in speed and when manoeuvring corners.
The tires are also excellent as they form a solid grip with the ground and work well with the twin shocks at the rear to cope with all types of load. Despite this reassuring sturdiness, the Lexmoto Apollo 125 also feels so light that it moves easily through traffic and remains well balanced at lower speed, removing the disadvantage of larger scooters.
Lexmoto Apollo 125 Brakes
Unlike many scooters, the Lexmoto Apollo doesn’t use the ABS brake system. This is not surprising, given the price of the scooter itself. Instead, it uses a linked system where there is a disc attached to each end and these discs are controlled by using a left-hand bar lever. With the linked system, you have brakes that are ideal for the Lexmoto Apollo performance.
Comfort
This is another major selling point for the Lexmoto Apollo. It offers enough legroom for most riders, thanks to its feet-forward position. With solid lower back support, the seat is quite comfortable and matches well with the low screen. Finally, there is enough space for a pillion, a grab rail as well as fold-out foot pegs.
Summary
The Lexmoto Apollo 125 is the ideal maxi scooter. It offers comfort, excellent performance, and an efficient braking system while coming at a lower price than its counterparts. This is not to imply that the Apollo 125 is the cheapest bike out there. There are cheaper maxi scooters, but you will be hard-pressed to find anyone that will provide the same features and performance offered by the Lexmoto Apollo 125 maxi scooter.
