Our Favourite Biker-Friendly Places in Norfolk

Norfolk is a biker’s dream. Beautiful coastline, incredible open roads, historic towns, and a friendly biker community. But as well as offering open roads, the best places to ride promise a community of bikers, with plenty of spots where you can get to know other bikers over a coffee or some grub.

Here are our favourite biker-friendly stops across Norfolk, all welcoming to motorcyclists, with good parking, hearty food, and biker-positive vibes. Let’s get into it!

Norfolk Motorcycle Museum

Okay, while we know this one’s not quite a spot to meet up for some grub, it’s still a great meeting point for bike lovers, especially if you’re on a ride through the delightful North Walsham.

This privately owned museum is home to over 150 motorcycles dating from the start of the 20th century to the 1980s. If you want a place to visit with fellow motorbike enthusiasts, look no further.

Whitwell & Reepham Railway Station

Located in Reepham, Norfolk, Whitwell & Reepham station is a heritage site that hosts weekly Bikers’ Night every Friday from 5pm to 10pm, with free entry. Boasting delicious burgers from the local Reepham butcher, this spot is welcoming to all riders, whether you own a Harley or a Honda.

It’s one of the most popular local spots to meet fellow bikers and share stories (and routes, of course!).

Grumpy’s Cafe

Located in Earsham, Grumpy’s Cafe hosts popular ‘bike nights’, which returned for the season on March of this year. These weekly Wednesday bike meets are a great opportunity to meet fellow bikers, compare vehicles, and enjoy some tasty grub and drinks.

Bikers come from all over the country, making it one of the most popular meetups for like-minded riders.

The Lattice Barn

Located just on the edge of Norwich, The Lattice Barn is a convenient meet-up point for bikers. While it’s not a specific biking destination and doesn’t run biking nights, it’s welcoming to bikers and has plenty of parking and generous portions of food.

It’s best for breakfast meetups before long rides, but avoid peak Sunday hours if you don’t want a full car park. If you insist on having your Sunday roast, arrive early for the best chance of getting parking.

Route 11 Kitchen

Built with bikers and drivers in mind, Route 11 Kitchen is located in Attleborough and hosts car meets and motorcycle meets. The cafe opens from 08:30 until 15:00, and then the kitchen serves up tasty Chinese food on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 17:00 until close. You can call the kitchen directly to book onto one of their bike or car meets and get to know fellow bikers from around the country.

The Smokehouse Bar & Grill

This Southern Style American Diner offers incredible smoked meats and a generous drinks menu, all set in a cool, laid-back, State-style setting. It’s also home to an extremely popular bike meet every Thursday, known as Full Throttle Thursdays.

Starting from 5pm and ending at 9, it’s a family-friendly event, so bring others along while you get to meet other bikers, and, of course, enjoy looking at some beautiful bikes. The weekly event includes a BBQ, outdoor bar, and even live music. With bikers coming from Norfolk and beyond, it’s the perfect place to chat with other biker folks.

Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum

Granted, this museum is dedicated to a completely different type of transport, but it’s actually a super biker-friendly spot! While there aren’t any currently in the calendar, the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum has previously hosted biker events and boasts plenty of on-site parking.

If you’re heading on a ride, it’s also a great place to stop off and learn more about the history of aviation in this country. It’s biker-friendly, fascinating, and a great place for an afternoon out. What’s not to love?

Cliff Top Cafe and Beach Shop

This Hunstanton cafe and beach shop isn’t an official biker hangout, but it’s popular with bikers thanks to the welcoming atmosphere, tasty grub, and parking spots. Many keen motorcyclists claim it as their favourite spot to stop off on a ride, thanks to the beautiful views (it’s just a short walk from the beach).

It’s located in the seaside town of Hunstanton, from which there are plenty of great rides taking you all over Norfolk. The stunning seafront has become a motorcyclist magnet thanks to the plethora of nearby routes and the natural beauty it offers.

While biking alone is fun, it’s even better when you’ve got someone to share it with. Whether you attend alone to make new friends or visit with your existing biker buds, there are plenty of places to go to enjoy biking conversation with like-minded folks and check out other people’s bikes.
